Board Recruitment Announcement
Your Legacy HOA is seeking one (1) volunteer leader to serve as a board member for a two-year term spanning January 2025 – December 2026.
Board members are actively involved in organizational governance and are expected to make a significant time commitment by attending regularly scheduled board meetings, developing a deep understanding of various topics and action items prior to board votes, and becoming well versed in our Community Charter and By-Laws. Board members work closely with the developer, HOA management, committees, and professional contractors on projects occurring throughout the community.
The ideal candidate possesses a variety of skills and has a strong background in at least one of the following areas: accounting, human resources, legal, or project management. Most importantly, candidates need to demonstrate they will be objective, pragmatic decision makers who are interested in maintaining and improving the great community we all bought into. All candidates must pass a background check.

Once applications are received, the following process will occur:
- The Nominating Committee* will begin interviewing and screening candidates.
- Candidates who meet the committee’s criteria will be presented to the board.
- The board will then place candidates on the ballot for election.
- Volunteers not chosen by the nominating committee, for whatever reason, will have the opportunity to be nominated in a floor vote and make their case along with everyone else.
*The purpose of the Nominating Committee is to interview potential board members and ensure they understand the purpose and responsibilities of the board, including the time commitment involved, as well as confirm a clean background check occurred.
