World Cup is scheduled for routine maintenance this year, as indicated on the 2023 Reserve Study. This section of World Cup is the primary artery for the rest of MS#2 and needs additional preventative maintenance. This sealcoat treatment will improve the longevity and appearance of the road. Work will begin tomorrow, April 23rd after 11am.
The project will be completed in two parts, the left (west) side of World Cup and the right (east) side. You should avoid driving on the freshly sealed roadway for 24 hours. Driving on it will not harm the road or your vehicle, but you will track asphalt onto your sidewalk and driveway if you drive on it.
If you live in a home directly in the path of the sealcoat, we recommend you park on Stadium Ln or Hamm Ln for the next few days. If you don’t live on World Cup, but have to drive over the freshly sealed road, I recommend you park on the street in front of your house through Friday, to avoid tracking sealcoat onto your driveway.
Because of the exclusive access point for MS#2, residents will need to use the road to come and go, however, you will want to use Hamm as an alternate to World Cup for accessing Chastain and Synergy. Park away from the roadwork, while avoiding your own driveway.
